SURREAL Is Merriam-Webster’s Suitable WORD Of The Year

untitled

If you could sum up 2016 in one word, “surreal” might be a good one. And Merriam-Webster agrees, naming it their official word of the year.

According to the company, “surreal” saw a huge surge in volume of lookups in 2016, especially after terrorist attacks and the U.S. election.

Other contenders include “bigly” and “deplorable”.

Yup, it’s been a surreal year ’cause nothing made sense!
