It’s a huge 600 pages piece of work. And I can’t put it down.
As the title suggest, this is a revelatory biography of the daughter of one of history’s most terrible dictators, Josef Stalin.
Born in the early years of the USSR, Svetlana Stalin spent her youth inside the walls of the Kremlin where she grew up protected from the mass starvation & purges that haunted Russia.
But she didn’t escape tragedy, and gradually, many years later in India, she escaped to the American Embassy and defected to the USA.
Unlike the other book, I’m convinced I’ll finish this one faster even if it’s twice the amount of lecture…
Simply because her story fascinates me.
